Now that I am on Pandora, I can't really say that I am listening to any one CD or band. I am into genre's though, and right now the genre varies between grunge (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains) to Metal (Metallica, etc) to Alternative Christian (Newsboys, Sanctus Real, Tree 63, Third Day) to Flamenco (Benise, Pavlo, Ottmar Liebert). I even through in some Peruvian here and there, a la Las Alturas.

When coding, I prefer to listen to mix sets of laid back trip hop solid steel, j mountain, herbalizer, anything under Ninja Tunez label.
I also like to listen to sets of breakbeat or tune into breaks fm streaming station..

If i'm too lazy to choose tracks i just listen to da radio...

I once had this coffee called 'Peruvian Fair Trade Coffee'. Wow :P the stuff was as black as potting soil and, man, it was powerful. I haven't found that brand since.

Beethoven's 9th
It makes anything you do feel that much more awesome. Unless you've seen Clockwork Orange in recent memory...

Does anyone here like those radio stations that come with iTunes? I like to listen to the Ambient and the Electronica categories because they don't have any words and are good for relaxing background noise. If one station gets to annoying, there are about 120 other streams. But when I find a good one I don't have to change so many times which is what I am after.

I won't lie, can't say I do. But I will add that when I am around people that like Hip/hop & R/B and I am forced to listen to that all day, It is nice to here when someone like Jay Z comes on. Or especially anything old school or east coast like Notorious B.I.G. I love it when that guy comes on in the middle of the other annoying songs!

As far as that I think I'm too old school. This may sound strange but I prefer 'Rapper' as DJ so to speak. Especially an underground DJ with few frills just a turn table and a mic.

agreed...and the problem with todays rap/hiphop/r&b is noone is original...there will never be another BIGGY, BIG PUN or another crazy group like onyx in rap...noone nowadays is good to listen to besides the few norms...i dont really care for the new Jay Z...i liked him when he first came out...Nas is off and on
[rant starting]
i think i now listen to more R&B and Rock than anything now....only because its good to hear something different than a bunch of swears and someone rappin about how much cool loot they got...im like dude i cant relate...i fall within the low working class tax bracket just above poverty lvl and i get raped every check and dont get anything at the end of the year because im not married...and i never been to jail or shot someone...and dont want to be....lol...and i dont think being a thug, getting shot, but not being able to read is cool...lol...i prefer to wear my pants on my waist and not scare pple with my nappy fro of a hairdo
[/end rant]

I relate more to an O.G. than a thug. I only like thug cause its a cool word to use like dawg. :P But when I'm around a real Cell Block 4 kinda thug, I'm like a ghost dude, back to suburbia Ha! :D

I used those for a while, but the ones I wanted to try out had bad streams, so I usually just rotate between Yahoo! Launchcast, Pandora, or Last.fm, whichever I'm in the mood for that day. Pandora is for when I only want to listen to a certain genre (which is always hardcore, hard, heavy, thrash, death and any other dark adjective used to describe metal :P), Last.fm is when I want a rock-only genre (ranging from hard to soft, and back again), and Yahoo! is when I want to listen to it all.
