Time to resurrect an old thread!

I'm currently listening the album by Art Brut "It's a Bit Complicated". I'm really digging it. I noticed the other day, 9 out of 10 of the bands I listen to are from the UK. I listen to mostly indie, so... I'm not entirely sure why that is.

Been listening to the new Radiohead album... a lot. The box set ships out on the 5th of December, I can't wait to hear the other new material!

Ole's brought a lot of good music with him, and I've been trying to find good Canadian music to exchange. Arcade Fire and Broken Social Scene come to mind (both of which get lots of play time on the old iPhone).

Anyone else have some "Canadian content" suggestions? The CRTC would be so proud.... uh oh, I think I just vomited a little.

of Montreal (no, the 'of' isn't capitalized) is probably my favorite Canadian band.

This song of theirs is my probably my favorite, and the music video is pretty awesome.

I LOVE this one too, but the video is _disturbing_ especially at 1:46 - 1:48. Dancing lite-brite bears FTW?

EDIT: of Montreal isn't canadian. The lead singer broke up with his montreal girlfriend, and decided to make a band about it. Or some such thing.

Behemoth are good to code to...although I easily get distracted when playing my air drums.

Wow! I started this thread in '02 and it's still kickin? Pretty damn cool.

Anyway, these days I like coding while thumpin' Devin Townsend. Especially Ziltoid The Ominicient. Solar Winds, By Your Command,Color Your World, and Planet Smasher are off the hook. The entire ridiculous concept of the album is funny as hell. Some dude from space decides to destroy Earth because he is served a cup of coffee that he doesn't like?

My absolute favorite stuff to code to these days is Strapping Young Lad and Devin Townsend. Damn, I love listening to this stuff and writing code. :D

Below is my youtube playlist for when I don't have access to my mp3 player or I'm not on my own box.

It's marked as private. :)

I listen to a lot of different music so hard to tell. But generally it's some metal (Overkill, Testament, Darkane, Soilwork etc), drum n bass or random good music.

Never heard Devin's solo stuff before, pretty cool. He is a weird dude.

Hi to all, well so checking some threads before posting i just got into here, so i'll start posting as im a big <span style='color:blue' title='I&#39;m naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span> music fan.
Generally start programing while listening metal, black, death, progressive, and such, till i decide to change to some mental concentration post rock prog music. Anyway, almost everthing is cool to listen (folk, indie, prog rock, anything i like to) while programming as it depends (for me) on the listening mood.

Nice to find a thread of music in this programming forum, looks like i joined the correct (forum) one.
Cheers :drunk:
