my baby!!

Post by tim »

ALright, been wanting to post this picture for along time!

here it is, my 1985 iroc z-28 camaro

background - it was my brothers and he sold it to me (which meant alot to me cause I know the car meant alot to him.) If a bird poops on it, i'm washing/waxing it. I love this hog, IROC (International race of champions) was a special package introduced to camaros starting in 1985, so its a 'piece' so to say. It offered better handling due to oversized sway bars and a more powerful engine (usually the TPI 305) as well as a better rear-end gearing (posi included)

The engine - it has a built 355. blueprinted n spun balanced to perfection. TRW forged 11.0:1 flat-top pistons with 1.98 shaved and machined cast iron heads. Holley street dominator aluminium intake with holley fuel pressure regulators, holley 650 cfm 4 barrel. New summit flat tappet cam. Flowmaster exhaust with SLP headers

sorry for the big filesize, i have my camera set on the best quality cause I am using this as my wallpaper for my desktop!

I love that, so if we're playing the 'someone else' game:
My dad's boss' McLaren F1 could toast that!
And probably my mothers TVR too!
Etc."

Actually, to be fair, My Mitsi could probably kick the scooby into touch quite happily.

Some info for the interested:
BHP: 440+ (an estimated 490 now I've sorted one of the turbo's out - and that's at the tyres, not the flywheel)
0-60: 4.1secs
0-100: 10.2secs
Top Speed: 150mph (stupid crappy limiter)

fast enough to beat a awd turbo wrx with ease. lol

No track times, my opinion is any car you wish to drive on the street shouldnt be handled on the track. i'll have a track car but the camaro estimated at a upper 12 lower 13 second 1/4 mile. w/o slicks and the stock rear with stock converter.

so
