out with the old, in with the new

Post by James M. »

Hi, i just bought a new computer to replace my old one and i need a way to connect the two computers so that i can get the data stored on the old computer to the new. Both computers are running xp but only one has an ethernet card, but the other does have a usb 2.0 port though. So does anyone know the fastest way to transfer the data, with the least amount of equipment?

pull the HD out of the old machine, put it in as a slave in the new machine, transfer as needed.. no additional parts required (generally)
