For a company allegedly involved in web development a bad website (takes ages to load, flash) doesn't suggest to me that they know what they're about.

Their portfolio doesn't look too bad - if you haven't got much to loose why not give it a shot?

although their site isn't so hot, their portfolio work is pretty nice looking albeit somewhat formulaic.. granted that is the bulk of the major design business.

Its not the quality of work I'm worried about. It seems like they don;t have a lot of Coding. They have two majkor products and it seems like I would be responsible for selling a quota each month and the only developing would be customisation?

That's a sales, not a developer job. Unless you're keen to go into sales I wouldn't do it.
