well... I'm also waiting for HL2 eagerly.. but I'm bigger fan of ID anytime....
So whatever it is.. one thing is everyone knows... Time After Time... ID softwares has always pushed and set new standards in Gaming industry.
So can't wait to get my hands on that damn Doom3 ...
Psst.. I've heard (from Beta Players) it can get really scary in some places, the gameplay is that good.

I've played the beta and it is excellent.. graphics are amazing..
I don't recommend playing doom3 on a low end comp though..
I recommend for full graphics nothing less than
2.0 gigz
512 DDR
ATI 9600+ or GeForce MX 5700
You say you love ID... after being informed of the following ( see below ) I didn't like them as much as I used to
Multiplayer can only support 4 ppl at a time... !
Althought they said they will mod is later on to support more but mods take time and by the time they mod it the game will be 50% cheaper
It may not be originally, but a company (namely Splash Damage) has been hired to do an expansion ehnanced multiplayer mode similar to how they were hired by ID Software to make RtCW: Enemy Territory.
What I'm really excited about though, is the fact that this game will be using the same engine as the game I've been waiting for, for a very long time...Quake IV.
Ive played beta as well and I have a link just pm me and ill give it to you. I can run doom 3 on full detail with AMD 2800+, 768 ram and a radeon 9200.
