special effects movie

Post by tim »

what one single movie

(before I go on I would like to point out some keywords in the above, ONE and MOVIE)

have you seen that in your eyes, has the best special effects and why?

My vote would be fired at Pearl Harbor.

A.) I'm a history buff, i love reading and anything history (especially war) related.

b.) the Fighting scene is just spectacular. The love romantic side I could do w/o but the fighting scenes are just fantastic

I'm interested to what some others are.

When you say you like war movies it immediately reminds me of something. Has anyone seen the mistake in saving private ryan where you see a glimpse of two cameramen in white shirts running in the background of a war zone. Anyone who has the movie must have seen it!

Day After Tomorrow was a mediocre movie, but the effects were great. In particular, the tidal wave that swamped New York was totally awesome and was breathtakingly realistic.

A couple weeks after seeing the movie my wife and I were visiting with her niece and niece's husband who were visiting from Oakland and it turns out their best friends created that particular effect for the movie. (Just the one, all the other effects were done by other companies.) Seems they worked on it (on computers, of course) for more than nine months.

My thoughts exactly Bech100. I did not find anything interesting about it at all. hehe
