I like the WROX series and the O'Reily quick refrence guides, but I couldn't live without my JavaScript Bible.

Also anything in the bargin bin, it is usually out of date but provides a good starting point cheaply.

Personally I find the PHP Anthology very handy, but if ever I want to think big, I'll stick my nose into Schlossnagl's "Advanced PHP Programming". Very cool stuff, but I am not getting to do much coding these days...:|

As for the one and only PHP book I couldn't live without - it hasn't been printed, yet. It's only online at http://www.php.net/manual...:)

I got some books downloaded from the net in PDF format.

[edited by patrikG - don't want to come across as tough cop, but copying copyrighted material is illegal.]

But its not breaking the law is it? Because most of these books are downloadeable and they have restrictions such as, print disable, copy disable, but they are ok to be shared. would that still be illegal to share with someone? these are just reference but obviously I'd guess you know better

As long as you're sharing freely distributable content there are no worries.

Cool....those are the only ones I got anyway, so it is OK to share the distributable items?

As I said - as long as they explicitely state they are freely distributable, there are no worries.

My initial concerns was that you wanted to distribute copyrighted material, which could have had repercussions for this forum. Not because or by me, but the guys whose content was being distributed. Glad that's not the case :)

totally agree, but its just times when you cant be asked to search and look for specific stuff...books are good.
