So people, I just wanted to know your thoughts.
Did you downloaded SP2 from Windows Update and installed it?
What do you think?
I think it is too involved in every thing. especially security...

Now with IE I get "Page cannot be displayed" error. For any page!
Not that I use IE, but I do test web pages on it. By default I use firefox.
It appears that there are allot of people having this problem. I have yet to find an answer.

I've had it loaded for over 3 months without any problems. Both my machines got nice speed boosts.

I've loaded it on my machine, and I was actually able to activate my copy of Windows after I did so. Before it was telling me I had an invalid CD-key, when the version I have is completely legit. I haven't noticed a performance increase, nor did it do any harm to my computer, so overall, I'm pretty happy.

haven't tried it out yet, and I won't until it seems to be stable, too many programs not working right now :S

I installed SP2 several days ago and had no problems with it so far. These security things is pretty easy to configure. I didn't notice any speed improvements. Luckily there was no speed decrease as well

I got sp2 about a month ago and've not noticed anything except the new security control panel. I thought that all sp2 was was a collection of all the windows updates since the last service pack?

it's all windows updates since release, not just SP1, plus a buttload of security/bug/whatever fixes that haven't been released yet..

just like all other service packs from Microsoft, a prior pack is generally not required.
