(um, why was this locked?)

Hell yeah!! I was cheering our guys the entire way through. Did you see how well Mario - Joe - and Iggy (my favortie player) did these past couple of games? Did you see Regehr on the blueline tearing up the opposing teams offensive talent?

I felt kind of bad for Findland though. They have three Calgary Flames players (and Canada has two BTW). ;) But Kipper played a great game, and he couldn't help team Canada just being better than Findland.

All in all this win doesn't really matter much to me because of the CBAthat will expire in just under 24 hours. Then there will be an NHL lockout. So this is rather bittersweet. :x

It's frustrating because my team just made the playoffs for the first time in 8 years and I wanted to see them do what they did in the playoffs for the entire year. :x

we won

Post by phpScott »

yeah we won.
I know I read this board for a reason to get all my news. Being a ex-pat and only been in the UK a couple of months I miss all the hockey news.
That is brillant.
goto go and read all about it now.

Maybe we should have a ice hockey board so that poor ex-pat's like me can keep up to date with out having to trool the internet for news.

Interesting idea. ;)

Anyway, Bettman, the NHL commissioner, just confirmed a couple hours ago in a press conference that there will indeed be a lockout. :x

silly beer drinkers

Post by phpScott »

Silly beer drinkers, come from an american who's beer resembles something close to water.

Having done quite a lot of oversees traveling i am baffled to see that is what the view is.

Hockey fanatics and happy go lucky people maybe but silly beer drinkers.
Nothing wrong with a good pint of cold beer.

BTW any one can fall 10 yards in four attempts.
Canadian football 10 yards in 3 downs requires some skill.

Now I'm being too canadian buy saying what we are buy saying how we are not like americans.

dictionary

Post by phpScott »

Invest in a dictionary other then one grammar problem and spelling travelling wrong the only thing that was wrong using a spell checker was that I didn't do some proper capitalization.

Boo Hiss. West Coast guy born and raised and the canucks will when the stanely cup before the maple leafs do. providing of course that the NHL ever gets back on track. :x

Ahh, good ole American Canadian rivalry.

Let me just say it's very interesting being an American living in Montreal.

While Montreal does have a better nightlife than Toronto, I resent the implication that there's nothing to do in Toronto. We have our own share of clubs, and parties, and sexual minorities that tend to host a lot of these shindigs. And not everything closes early, in fact most stores now close at 9 or 10. As for the people bieng cold...nah, I found Quebecers to be much more rude than Torontonians. Just try going to the Quebec province without the knowledge of French. You'll see how cold people really are...
