Some of you are very often here - do you now that life has off-line status :D .

This made me wonder - how fast access you have to the internet.

Vote and enjoy.

164kB (I think that's the random number they choose to give us) at home but super-hyper-fast at work. Haven't upgraded home 'cause it's fine for normal use and I don't use it for much other than plain old web surfing (don't play on-line games or nuffink fancy like that).

Ups,

I forgot to write my own

1Mb/s,

don't you hate me :D

Just joking, I thought I have good speed, and found out that somewhere in Germany they have 10 megs as we have dial-up

That made me to think and question my purpose in cyber(space)

:)

on a shared network of around 100,000 machines (believe me this university connection speed is unbelievable)

I am currently "internet-less" at home.

I remeber the great excitment when my friend went from a 600 to a 1200 baud modem. big clunker right on the desk beside ya.

I miss my old connection 2mbps on adsl and just 2 blocks away from the substation, always fast and consistent.
No internet at home because no computer at home.
Will soon then will have to try and figure out the best deal.

Which cable company? NTL was giving us a 512 connection for free for a couple of years :) (they didn't mean to they just don't have very good interdepartmental communications lol)

I have absolutely no idea. I plug a cord from the router to my computer and it let's me visit devnetwork.net. That's all that matters to me. 8)
