Parts of GMail will be paid for

Upon reading the new features, in the third bullet, it says "It's free during the test ...".
a friend of mine wrote:Free forwarding would be bad for google money-wise as you could have the storage and skip their text ads, which is the only source of revenue otherwise. Same goes with pop3/imap access.
What else do you think would be paid for after made public?

I'd rather wait than speculate.
oo, that rhymes.

There are plenty of things that could be switched to "paid"... features could be crippled as well..

the mail filters, labels, attachment policy, etc..
