Sports!

Post by tim »

Well I know alot of people has to be a huge fan of some team playing some sport

Football sunday for me in ohio and my team (the Cleveband browns) has really ashamed.

Not only am I disgusted with their performance, but i am really angry now after the game.

Anyone else get serious about football or any other sports? Hell when the brownies win i'm the best person to be around i'm so happy.

Im serious about hockey, but now it is ruined because a lot of the players have gone to the european league for a season or two and alot of the players have simply quit... NHL will never be the same...

Now what are they going to replace hockey night in canada with? cricket?

Hockey is my #1 sport. GO FLAMES GO.

Yeah a lockout does suck, but it's for the good of the game long-term. And most players who went to Europe to play while CBA talks continue have a clause in their contract to return when it resumes. But some greats like Forsberg, Jagr, and maybe Naslund won't return.

I'm also big on international soccer. Every 4 years when the World Cup is on it's like a Super Bowl party for the whole tournament. :D Favorite team is Brazil, followed by Italy, Senegal, and England.

I don't really follow any other major leagues but I do watch just about all the championship games for them (Super Bowl, NBA finals, World Series final, etc.). That way you get the best of all the types of sports out there without dedicating too much time to keeping up with day-to-day regular season news.

Oh by the way, none of them compare to the Stanley Cup Finals. 8)

Hockey all the way! Bieng a Torontonian, I'm a Leafs fan. We make the play-offs each year, but last time they got a cup was in 67. Pretty dissapointing, byut not all is lost.

P.S. Bettman can go burn in hell for screwing up this season.

Last time they won was the 1966-1967 season. And I bet they will go right until 2066-2067 before they win another. ;)

Calgary only has one once (1989) but we should have won it a couple months ago.

Game 6. Martin Gelinas. It was in.

Oops, right, typo. 67 it is (fixed now). And sometimes yeah, it really seems like it'll be another 60 odd years...but hey, we're all hopeful. We've got a decent team here. Of course who knows what'll happen after this damned lockout...

ENGLAND

Post by phpScott »

Having only been in UK since the start of Euro 2004 (Greece, greece won???) I have decided not to cheer for any football(soccer) club, because I know I will pick the wrong won and be on the wrong side of the stadium.(go underdog team go).
Ice Hockey(i have to be careful because grass hockey is a big sport here) is for me. GO VANCOUVERwhen they start playing agian.
Last round once '84 and almost '94(trevor linden is a god).
Other wise Rugby union teams being New Zealand, Canada, Brazil, Fiji and says under breath France.

F1 racing and sailing.

remember it's all fun and games unil some one loses and eye, then it's sport
