Prior to the last downtime these forums used modified subSilver theme. Now the board is run on the stock phpBB (at least it appears so), so there should be no problems with unmodified subSilver. But some of the features we plan to put back (actually most of them) depend on the theme used and it would be twice as harder to support two themes instead of one.

Anyway, for a long time we had only one theme, you should have got used to have no choice :P

When the only choice was "extremely similar" to the 15 other phpbb forums I visit a day, it was intuitive.

The new template is both over-bright, and less obvious..

If someone needs to step up and offer to maintain the subsilver theme to have a chance for it to be here, I'm raising my hand and offering.

I visit here often enough, I know php (and phpbb!) well enough, and care enough about the community to do so.

So, what steps do we need to take to get subsilver back on here?

Ok, ok, ok.

You win. :D

I wanted something new, something fresh: you guys just wanted the forums back. I figured after the disaster, it might be the best time to make changes.

Anyways, we will be sticking with subSilver for the foreseeable future because that is what the masses want. =)
