How come people...

Post by hunterhp »

always come to this website, and post once or twice and then leave. This is such a cool website were peoplel might learn a lot, why do they just ask a question and then leave?

I'll be sticking around for a while. Just hope more people do as well.

people appear to go to multiple sites and ask the same questions. They are usually just seeking an answer, or preferrably code to fix it... nothing more.

so I say, it's mostly laziness.

I mostly only come here when I'm having problems, although I do read threads that look particularly interesting. I think mostly people are looking to apply PHP code for a specific application and don't care about it any more than that.

I can't post much because I don't know enough ;)

My favorite thing is to post my code, stump everyone only to realize it's my fault that I wasn't paying close enough attention to a detail...I LOVE IT.

Most problems can be fixed by reading at php.net but one of the reasons I like this site is because of the interaction and active help you can get by resident gurus.

I liked it SO much that I stole the CSS style of the scroll bar for my website...which still everyone can't access :?

ast3r3x, I can access your site, through name and ip, so not sure what's wrong with everyone else. :)

I actually found out that after asking some questions here and reading stuff I found on older posts I am learning a lot. By interacting and answering some posts as well the knowledge stays fresh and you remember a lot more things after a while.

I think what's worse is when someone asks a question, but never returns.. especially when we spend time making multiple posts answering the question.

This is now one of my daily forum sites. I usually go to 5 or so. I usually lurk around though, I don't post often.

I have come pretty close to asking a question about my script, but I like finding the answer by myself. It takes a while, but I get it done.

Except feyd. He's like Dr. Phil.

This is the best PHP board period.

A lot of study/experimentation and reading/posting here and several tips from the mods have helped me learn PHP. Although compared to most around here I'm still a noob....
