Compaq iPaq PA-1 data format

Post by magicrobotmonkey »

ok, this is waaaay off topic, but i have this old ipaq PA-1 that I got a couple of years ago and it just turned up again and I'm trying to get it working. The problem is that I have lost the USB cable that goes with it and it is not a standard fitting. Of course. But it uses MMC's as memory and I have one of those all in one readers on my 'puter that will read them. I had hoped that I could just throw some mp3s on there and it would play them, but no dice. I am hoping that they just have to be in some certain folder or something, but I am having no lick guessing file structures. When I bought it it came with this RioPort software which was how I originally wrote to it, but that won't work without the cable. I am looking everywhere for help, but there is not a lot to be found. I was just wondering if anyone had one of these and could take a gander at what the files look like once they are stored on the cards? Anyone?
