credit card transactions... whats yer poison?

Post by JPlush76 »

I was thinking about setting up a credit card payment system on my freelance site to allow people to put down payments and make payments online.

I was looking into authorize.net's solutions but they are pretty pricey, then I thought maybe a paypal account.

Anyone have any good ideas of what to implement?

I read through that website, and a lot of what is said seems to be hogwash. I use PayPal (and so does my Company) and we have used it fine. Contacting them via Phone isn't a problem, and I haven't had any problems. Neither has my company on the business side of things. All in all, PayPal is rather fair.

However, if you are the overly cautious type, you might want to check out http://www.Neteller.com

first of all Jason I can't believe you just used the word hogwash :)

I've sent bundles of money to other people on paypal, and vice versa. No problems, no fees (except what is already told when signing up). The only message I've got from them, is when they've added new features to their Business membership (aka me). New features? DONT WANT THAT! ;)

Paypal is perfect as it is, and that site IS hogwash. Any website that uses a different wallpaper for their website on each page, will always be hogwash. ;)
