I just had to overwork some webpages of a friend of mine. Some dude did patch them together for him a while back but they were not displaying right on mozilla.

I used the validator and I got 15 CSS errors and 198!!! html validation warnings. on the index page alone. It took me freaking 4 hours to get them down to 0 and I got 5 more pages to overwork (no template of course)

Did someone actually find more warnings on any html page you ever validated?

Another common thing is forgetting to put & in your URLS (ugh..)

But there's no excuse for not writing good XHTML 1.0 Transitional! Maybe you should use PHP to help you template the pages.
