*one of the few people in the uk that has somewhere near a neutral english accent (i went ot see friends in the states, i had to ham it up to impress their friends)*

What is a neutral english accent, is it not relative to where you come from. I bet it wouldn't sound neutral to me :wink:
i had to ham it up to impress their friends

I'd say I have a neutral English accent (neutral in England at least :) ) because English people cannot work out where I'm from. There's no detectable regional accent at all, people can tell I'm English but that's it.

So, does that mean you would have exactly the same non-accent as CoCo :?

The accents from Edinburgh and Glasgow are completely different and we can tell the difference, I have found that the English can't tell the difference and think we all have the same accent, strange :roll:

im from leeds, but i have not a trace of yorkshire in me :P
dont get me wrong tho, im not a posh southern pufta or a thick northerner...
i guess its pretty much english as you would get in a language tape, an average of all accents
