Flash for Linux

Post by Chris Corbyn »

Okay I know Macromedia don't make it (or Adobe even ;) ). But does anybody know of some sort of application that supports *basic* actionscripting in linux? Like, all I want is something that can create a flash banner which fades two or three images in and out for example.... that kinda basic... not gaming stuff or anything fancy?

I'm considering buying something like Crossover Office if it doesn't exist.

The most fancy stuff I need to do is nice animated banners (that's all I actually like Flash for... i'm not a fan of sites written completely in flash).

Thanks for any pointers :D

Your question peaked my curiousity. I've run Flash MX through crossover office and it worked great! The nice thing about crossover is that once you buy it once you get all upgrades for free. I wasn't able to find much out. I know you can export to flash.swf from open office or star office presentation programs (.ppt equiv). Other than that I found this article

Hope this helps
