EvilWalrus.com DOmain Dispute

Written below is an email i've just sent to the domain squatter who took advantage of my downtime for the site and the commmunity. Those of you who back this decision to get the domain back to the community that deserves it, please list your aguments here.

---------------------------------------------------------

This is Andrew Heebner, administrator and trademark owner of EvilWalrus.com. I see that you (a squatter) has encroached on a trusted name in the php community.

First off, the reason the domain (in case you're wondering) went to an available status, is because i've been working 13 hours a day, 7 days a week, and haven't had a second to myself to renew the domain.

Anyhow, seeing as that's irregardless to the situation, i ask that you please remove an sale information from the site itself (asking $1675?!?!?!?!) and we enter into negotiations for handing the site back into my hands.

The community which backed EvilWalrus.com has been in a strong effort lately to revive a site i didn't have time for, and i'd sure appreciate that the domain returns to the community, without any legal or hasty actions.

Thank you,

Andrew Heebner

IN followup, i've also sent a request to ICANN for a domain dispute. I've thouroughly read over the rules and procedures, and it certainly retricts cybersquatting.

So, i'll need everyone's help in getting evilwalrus.com back to the community agin, but, i haave a feeling this isn't going to be pretty, so, bear with me, as i do what i can to get all of this resolved.

As I've said in many other posts, I'm 100% here to help in any way.

Whether its on the original domain, or a new one, providing hosting, providing code, whatever it takes - we'll get the Walrus back up.

I too am willing to do what I can to help out, whether it is just moral support or coding.

Please keep us informed of what is happening.

I've already pledged my support to Roja and will be bothering him in a coule of weeks time when he gets freed up from his current projects.
