Acceptance Speech

Post by Burrito »

//walks to podium nervously and clears throat..

ahem, I'd like to thank the devnetcademy for selecting me for this highly coveted and most sought after "most peculiar award". I know there were a lot of peculiar others out there, and being chosen is truly an honor in a peculiar sort of way.

I'd also like to thank my family:

My uncle Linny Uxstain and his wife Fedora, although I haven't visited you much, you have a nice place and I'd really like to come by and get more comfortable there soon.

My cousin Reggie Exproshen, you have some peculiar patterns...maybe that's why we get along so well? (ok bad I know, but couldnt' resist)

My step-father Windel Owes, you've provided a nice "comfortable" home for me and someday I plan to leave and move in with uncle Linny, but until that day, thanks for everything

My brother-in-law, Orenthal O. Peterson, you're one classy kinda guy (OMG, that was really bad...I'm sorry I even typed it, but I'm too lazy to remove it :P )

and finally my sister Pricilla Haney Peterson, without you none of us would even be here. You're the foundation upon which we all build. You've given me a job, provided me with some great hobbies and brought together a great family of people who share a common love for you!

//holds his virtual badge high above his head and shakes it wildly when all of a sudden, Yoda enters from stage-left....

thanks again amigos, I'm glad I'm providing some peculiar spice in your lives
