IE7 - Fast Search on the right hand side - MSN Search !
Does it include Google and Yahoo ?
If it does is there an option to set it to my preferred Search Engine each time I open IE7 ?
Previously, I think Windows Media Player had some issues like this - there was no option to use another media player or something. Or was it IE always being the default browser and not able to switch ? Dont know.

i've got access to msdn, but i'm finding myself too lazy to download 2.5 gb on this 'fast' connection of mine.
mark, did you have any driver(s) that were missing? i'd try it out, but i'd go insane without my music. currently, i need to install my sound driver manually even on a xp.sp2 version.

Well, i dsint overwrite my current operating sytem, i just installed it a partition for testing purposes only.
Didn't have to install any drivers, everying was installed for me, although i didnt actually check what worked cos i wasn't really bothered if certain hardware was/wasn't installed, as i was only giving it a test drive.
oh, good then i guess. it better have most drivers (for a 2.5 gb iso). i've got a n amd64 so i guess i'd try out the 64 bit version, see how stable/good that one is.

one thing I am really looking forward to is the ability to run sql queries to find files. it'll be interesting to see how sql acts as a file system and how well MS implements that brilliant idea...
As a side note, according to this page this page winfs won't be a part of the first release of Vista.
anjanesh, I don't know if you're just too novice to understand that you can turn of Windows Media Player. Right now, I use Winamp to run all my audio and video files, and MSN doesn't bug me at all. On my keyboard's media quick-keys I can easily remap to anything I want. So I don't quite understand your attempt at attacking Microsoft.
What I have a hard time understanding is why Microsoft isn't allowed to package ANY of its programs in Windows because "Other businesses use it too..." Hell, That doesn't stop the majority of other businesses from doing similar. You're not going to see advertisements for Christian churches inside a Mosque. You're not going to see an advertisement on the side of your television saying "Buy our competing brand!" Microsoft should be allowed to package all the <span style='color:blue' title='I'm naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span> it wants. Open-sourced projects are a huge sore-thumb to rational thinking sometimes.
Anyone notice that Apple does the EXACT same thing Microsoft does on it's platform? You'll see all their retarded i-Program stuff on their OSX, and not many people complain.
I'm not saying Microsoft is better than Apple. In fact, they're are both good at what they do, and I don't mind using either. My problem was with people bitching that microsoft packages all it's software with windows...
packages versus (tightly) integrates are different things though. Windows has gone down the latter, while everyone else mostly goes down the former. This is more the argument than that they include their software with it..
