the keys are touch-sensitive colour LEDs, they can display any character, symbol - whatever. You can change the keyboard layout according to application (space becomes jump/fire/whatever for a game) while for another application it's a different command which the space-bar will show.

I WANT THAT...

Any idea how much it will cost? Wireless or wired?

Error: You are using the present tense.

It hasn't been released for sale yet. They don't have a price set, a list of distributors.. its vapor at this point.

Nice vapor, but vapor.

Hmm... I'm pretty sure I've seen that before... probably Slashdot or something.

They're all nice keyboards, but in the end, most of us will settle for an old fashioned QWERTY keyboard. Let us not get into a discussion of whether or not QWERTY is designed to purposely make us slow.

Best. Keyboard. Ever.

That's like the evolution from wired ball mouses to wireless optical mouses. Just amazing.

And in theory, I bet someone could develop a mode where it is on the standard layout but the small screens simply don't show the key they control. :)

Good news...
It’s in the initial stage of production.
We hope it will be released in 2006.
It will cost less than a good mobile phone.
It will be real.
It will be OS-independent (at least it’s going to be able to work in some default state with any OS).
It will support any language or layout.
Each key could be programmed to produce any sequence.
It will be an open-source keyboard, SDK will be available.
Keys could be animated when needed.
