Anyways I been developing this credit card gateway for the past 2 months and I actually finished the development stage today -- only to find out our software won't be used by the banks for whatever reason, duno. Anyways I been paid and all for the work but after my blood sweat and tears put into it, it kinda breaks my heart seeing all that lovely code going to waste. Dangit.

Anyone had any similar experiences?

at the company I just left, they created like five applications in the weeks I was there, that none will see the light of day.. "It's really neat!"

I know how it feels to make software that isn't used.. It makes me sad to know they aren't treating my baby well :(

Yeah, had a similar experience. It's not nice. Is it in the contract that they own the code?

Of course all code I produce is owned by the company, however fortunantly similar gateways will be created with seperate backend servers. Still... :x
