how come nobody mentions adobe golive?
at work i was told to use golive..not out of my own choice..but its ok unless u want to do some rollover stuffs...
its easier to do rollover in dreamweaver and continue the rest in golive.
im going to try zend..sounds like its better than golive..have to try convincing ppl at work though!
have a nice day people

I've been playing with dreamweaver 8 lately, seems they implemented a couple handy features, such as code blocks.
A couple of my CSS layouts which render fine in browser, but would not look proper in the design mode now render fine.. so I'm happier.

um. I've been using dreamweaver about two years now and I've never seen this "sloppy" html you're talking about. Looks just fine to me :-/ Especially in Dreamweaver8, only thing I really like is the autocomplete feature mainly because I get code of typing. Though now if I do something like..

Code: Select all

<b>
<?php
echo ("</b>");
?>
<b></b>
it tends to get <span style='color:blue' title='I'm naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span> wondering where my closed b is and then it highlights all that area in yellow which makes it hard to erad. Of course I've only ran into this situation like once:-D But still, enough to bug my senseless. I recommend dreamweaver actually, if for nothing else the nice syntax highlighting:-D But, that is just me of course. Then again I am a student an dmy cop is a bit cheaper than most ;)
