Hello,
I bought the book: "php and mysql webdevelopment" 3rd edition.
Authors:
Luke Wellind
Laura Thomson
Unfortunatley I lost the CD-rom
. The book is great, but I need the CD-rom.
Now my question:
Does anyone know what I can do ?
I already checked the book website:
http://www.developers-library.com , without result.
Thanks for your help.
Greetings,
Jasmin.

Unfortunantly I don't think there is much you can do.
The only thing I can think about is illegal and won't be discussed here.

Contact SAMS, the publishers and explain the situation to them. That's hardly illegal.

Yeah,
So long as you have proof that you own the book,
I don’t think that they would have too much of an issue
with providing a replacement. (At a modest fee perhaps)

Perhaps, just in my experience contacting publishers about lost pieces or whatever is usually a short conversation of "Nope, nothing we can do"

Jasmin,
It's still worth a try.
The worst they can do is say NO.

Uhh.. I was refering to acquiring cd's through `uncommon practice`.
But yea contact the author give it a go, but it is very doubtful they offer replacements, although I wish you the best of luck

Agree

You lost it? I highly doubt anyone's going to replace it if you lost it... if it didn't come with the package then that's definately something you should contact the publisher for.
If it was an honest mistake, ask them if it's possible to pay for shipping and a copy of a disc. It shouldn't be more than $10 to replace it (I'd imagine).
So if the CD is that important to you, I'd look into that option, Jasmin.
Good luck.
