touchpad

Post by s.dot »

So, I'm on my new laptop. I hooked up a USB mouse. Now whenever I go to type something my palms keep hitting the horrid touchpad. Is there an option somewhere to disable it? Or am I SOL?

you should be able to disable it in the bios.

most newer bios revisions will allow you to disable it when another external mouse is plugged in and "turn on" again when it's unplugged...but it totally depends on the manufacturer of the m-board.

you might check your windoze settings too 8O

I love my touchpad :) use it more than my USB mouse... even when it's plugged in...

how could you possibly like a touchpad more? besides the scroll thingy.. that is pretty nice :-P

To disable the touchpad, I went to

Start > Control Panel > Mouse > Device Settings > Highlighted the touchpad mouse > Disable
