Well I use an AP and that Game Adapter sounds like it's just an AP to me. Even if it's not (which it will be), you could surely just use a standard AP for gaming
I doubt it. Access Points/Bridges simply act as carriers for whatever is sent across them. They don't do specific transfer protocols etc. They don't even do routing, you need an actual router to bridge with it for that
I don't have one per se, so I can't say for sure, but I don't see why they couldn't be used for anything else.. I can tell you they claim you don't need much if any additional configuration or drivers for the console connected to get it to work..
