I just bought the domain "life-project.org" to host stuff on if you wish. It wasn't expensive if you choose to use another domain. I'll change the registrant details to pilau if that makes things easier :)

Needs NS records setting up when we know what's happening.

Just the domain.... no hosting.... nowhere near $3 a month :) Still waiting for the email to arrive from 1and1 with the details.

OK I have access to the control panel for the domain now so it's just a case of putting NS details in when we have them. I can host on my own Linux VDS server and give out a few (as many as *needed*) user accounts so long as the development stuff stays on SF and we just use that as a project homepage for the forums etc etc. Or maybe we can just point it to the SF project page?

(Or maybe I just give the domain to Pilau (Admin :)) to sort out :P)

Cool. It looks good, keep any ideas coming I'd love to see this do well.

Just to let everyone know that http://www.life-project.org is now resolved and the "project homepage" will be hosted there - over to pilau from here on :) I'll just contribute developer-wise and project-homepage server maintenance/upgrades. Can't wait to get this started :D

EDIT | Just to save confusion. Regarding my earlier comment that the domain comes with no hosting, I'm kinda offering the hosting myself anyway now... I have space and it costs nothing extra to me so hey, why not? :P

If you could please Chris redirect the life-ptoject domain to the forums address 'till we have a full website?

I'm willing to contribute to this project by any means needed. I also have a full web services server at disposal so if thats needed it can be used(FTP, Email, IRCd) pretty much anything else needed is on there aswell.

Well at the moment me and d11wtq are transfering the forums from my server to a dedicated server for the project.
So the forums are locked for now.

domain names are only like 9 dollars US per year (prices vary registrar to registrar), cheaper if you have a coupon.
