estonians have a funny halloween, they actually have 2 of them. on one everyone dresses up like boys and gets candy and on the 2nd everyone dresses up like girls and gets candy.

well I will probably just wind up down the local pub, where they have a fancy dress disco thing most years bit too old to go trick or treating now, might wind up at a party later!

Every Samhain for the last four years I've done a software release of some kind. This year, its a developers release of Blacknova Traders with more features than we've ever added before.
Notably, I don't work on Samhain, and I usually do the release near the midnight hour, after I've done my rituals and parties.

Where abouts in the UK?
Have they booked the disco yet?

Halloween isn't really celebrated in Germany, they generally wait for something called Carnival in February (I think) for dressing up. Larp however can be fun although I only play once a year in England. Doing things like Live Action Role Playing (LARP) makes it really easy if you ever have to dress up for a party.

yeah in england the kids go trick or treat'ing. personally halloween is just another excuse to drink excessively

you need an excuse to drink excessively? I imagine my local will probably hire the same disco they normally do, its normally pretty bad! I once went out to a bar in torquay for halloween that was kicking lots of girls in devils outfits
