iPod Nano
I bought an iPod nano over the weekend... it's nice and small (tiny, stupidly tiny) and very stylish and all that.... but now that I've bought it I must say, fairly overpriced for 4GB.

The 4GB one cost me £180 GBP. The batteries are moulded somewhere inside it and it just charges when you plug it into USB yes - they seem to hold their charge fiarly well thoughshiznatix wrote:how much do those pieces cost?
edit: and what kinda batteries do they run off? is it one of those awesome mp3 players that recharge when you plug them into the usb?

Yeah, it lasts about 6 hours from fully charged. Takes about 90 mins to charge from flat after the initial 3 hour charge.shiznatix wrote:dang that is quite pricey. when you say they hold their charge quite well, how long do you mean? i would listen to mine for 3 - 5 hours a day without charging capabilities, would it hold out that long?
Why not upgrade your Nano to 200Gb?

ive had a creative zen micro for about 5 months now, imo it is still one of the best around. It's 5gb, removable battery which lasts about 6 hours on a full charge. nice blue light on it
nice and small too
you can even get it in pink! cost me £135 GBP new with postage when i got it those months ago.
i dropped it about a month after i bought it, managed to get in contact with creative and they sent me a new one in a week, lol

Hahaha... awesome. Maybe I'll do that, I agree on the battery-life thing being a small price to paypatrikG wrote:Why not upgrade your Nano to 200Gb?

I have an iPod Mini. The prices are a little steep but consider how much they've fallen. 'twas only a year or two ago Sony were passing off MiniDisc players for a lot more...
Consider you get a mini HDD - something I suspect is the major cost driver...
Battery life is a lot better since the original iPod disasters too. Not sure why you'd risk the HDD on a mass upsizing though. I have trouble getting a little mini full, even while doubling as a portable HDD (something Apple should add more to their marketing about...).

I find the results quite impressive: http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Ipod_Nano_ ... ons/Page_3
Only problem might be the battery performance, but if you hook it up to a car battery, you'll have days of battery-life without recharging!
