alarm clock
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
sadly i have this condition where my body becomes imune to my alarm clock and now i am not able to wake up to the same alarm clocks that i have used before.
question is: does anyone know of a free alarm clock online that would do this for me: turn up the volume of my computer to the max automatically, have a snooze button, be able to play a mp3 to wake me up.
i hope somones does because i got class tomorrow at 8:00am and there is no way I will make it if I don't get a new alarm.

Here's what I used to do because I have that same condition...
I get familiar with the sound of my alarm clock, wake up hearing an awful racket.... get angry at the car alarm going off outside (half-asleep), then turn over and sleep through it. Later on I'll realise I slept through my alarm.
Okie doke.... strategy one (old)...
a) Look in your BIOS, find a setting for automatic power-on... set it for the time of your alarm.
b) Have winamp automatically start playing when it opens, set it to shuffle and ensure there's a long playlist in there
c) Add it to the startup files
d) Turn the volume up
e) Turn off PC and go to bed....
Method 2....
a) There's a plugion for winamp that can do that for you without all the fuss above! (Which do you choose?)
EDIT | Or you could just buy a radio-alarm-clock for about $10

i have the same problem. something that fixed it briefly was that i created an alarm on my iPod. I then instructed it to begin playing Time by Pink Floyd (if you know the song, it begins with very load alarm clock noises), and connected it to my stereo system
I literally jumped from my bed when that went off

Heh.... the noise at the start of that song sounds mor elike the old school fire alarms (the one's with the bells rather than sirens)... no wonder it threw you out of bedDeemo wrote:i have the same problem. something that fixed it briefly was that i created an alarm on my iPod. Clocky rolls off your nightstand, bounces off your startled dog and finds a new place to hide once you press the snooze button. Maybe one day, we’ll have an alarm clock that just crawls on your chest and wets itself. We can dream, can’t we?
Woow, i don't go to bed early... But somehow i got exactly the sameJcart wrote:Easy solution: go to bed erlier
Myself I mysteriously wake up 1-3 minutes before my alarm ever goes off. The weird thing is, I have to wake up at different times depending on the day :\.. my mental alarm is ship shape.
The beep-beep-buzzing gives me the creeps.. I'm happy i'm awake before the alarm clock
