I agree with Grim. What has happened is like a fight between three-year-olds. Eventhough we don't know the full story what happened between McGruff and others, as professionals, the way the matter was dealt earlier on was not professional and it was so sad/ugly to know that there was not a big cause for the big problem that happened in one of the largest forums around.

The forum should take actions atleast now so that this will not happen again in the future.

Er, I meant this thread, not the Roja / McGruff situation.

Enough, people! It isn't honourable to hit a man when he's down.

It's up to McG to learn the lesson. If he won't... it's not our problem anymore.

Don't force me to lock this topic.

I would like to say more on Weirdan statement; he is absolutely right in the sense when a guy has done something wrong and if he/she is willing to accept the wrong doings and he /she does not shy away just because everyone has a bad opinion on her/him, we then should really appreciate his/her attitudes to recognize his/her faults and change.

Eventhough what McGruff did was not anyway rational, but if he is willing to understand the faults he has done and willing to change then we should help him change.

so McGruff if you are ready for a change, we will have so much respect on you as we had on before last Saturday.
Onething I am want to appreciate McGruff is, he has still replied to many threads in the forum and this gives me the feeling that he has changed....McGruff, if you have changed...cheers to your attitude

I had talked to him on Saturday & Monday thru PM and he responded as he had done before... believe me guys root cause of this situation was the tension that had been rising on both sides from many months before this incident... no one was willing to understand other and when tempers rise, situations get outta control pretty swiftly...
From what I collected I guess McGruff took offense from the statement - "Now quit that". He was in tension previously and afterwards Roja's further statements unjustifying his comment made him loose it completely... afterwards talks/suggestions to step down infuriated him further and in his fury he banned them all so they could learn a lesson... nearing Monday evening he had thought over it and had a feeling he had done wrong... but he did not act on it and was too late... he was removed by jason and all the mods were reinstated... McGruff afterwards didn't want to prove anything like he was wrong or what he had done was wrong so he remained quiet... He knows now that he had over-reacted vastly...

If, If he had only thought over it with a cool mind, this disaster would have been prevented... but his anger got better of him... and anger make you a devil... really...

Comments/Critics on this view are welcome... I have only written what I felt and concluded from various inputs throughout this melodrama...

My opinion on this is that we should just learn from what has happened and move on.

I don't see the need to keep this whole thing under debate, what's done is done, and I'm sure we all have more important things to be getting on with.

Its unfortunate that the whole incident took place, but unfortunately it did. That everyone acts like three year olds ;) is to be expected. Its been a cocktail of outrage, infuriation, righteousness and exhiliration for those involved over a short period of time.

High as kites probably...;)

Its just good to be back under the reinstated moderation team. :)

I think it should be. The ongoing attack on McGruff is unfair and unkind.
I'm not saying that what he did was right (nor am I saying it was wrong, I'm saying I want to keep out of it) but considering it all started because some people were feeling insulted this thread is hypocritical to say the least.

What Grim... said.

The longer this thread, and any other related to this topic is kept open, the further the image of the professionalism of those who frequent PHPDN will be degraded.

Please, close this thread.

The events of the last weekend are fully behind us now. I encourage everyone to move on, and respect each other moving forward.

I don't see any respectful and useful conversation likely to come out of further discussion in this thread. Another mod proposed locking this thread, so I am doing so.
