Is there a reason for having the users join date displayed on there posts? just I *sometimes* confuse it with post date and I am sure many others do also.. just a thought.

probably not, but if thats the case there would be no reason for location, rank, or avatar :-P looks good, I guess.
Set Search Time - A google chrome extension. When you search only results from the past year (or set time period) are displayed. Helps tremendously when using new technologies to avoid outdated results.

It's probably there because that is how the phpBB development team developed this app to work. There have only been a few mods to this community so it should be expected that some of the "out-of-the-box" functionality will be present in these forums.

That, and it is a mildly useful piece of information. Knowing that someone has been around the forums for a long time may not indicate their knowledge level, but probably indicates that they aren't brand new to php (or the forum rules for that matter).

Plus it lets you see how often the folks at this forum actually use the forum (notice my paltry 170 something posts since September of 2003 as opposed to Roja, who has like 1300 posts since January 2004).

Man, that is some kind of posting speed.

At first I was thinking quality above quantity. But then I look at Feyd or timvw and think to myself...

I am but a mere grasshopper learning from the true master: Feyd.

That guy has some *insane* posting speed.

I so agree with that. I remember there was this one time I asked a question, read another topic and my email shouted at me "You have a message!". When I checked it was a notice there was a response to my post... by Feyd... like four seconds after I had finished my question.

Yes, that dude has some fancy fast fingers for finding and figuring fast responses.

PS You know you like my use of alliteration.

If you look at the thread in terms of columns, it shouldn't be too confusing. :)

Left column: poster information
Right column: post information

So any dates on the left = user related
Any dates on the right = post related

Feyd is inhuman you see, he is permanently connected through a dedicated US Govt sponsored supercomputer which uses top secret quantum computing techniques to interface directly with his mind. Roja is actually the symptom of feyd's split personality disorder.

You see, I have it all figured out...;)
