XHTML compliance?

I work with a lot of older systems that are massive and are written in html, so I usually just stick to the format I'm working in, but with new systems and sites that I get to create from mainly stratch, I prefer xhtml over html.

The benefits are plentiful and after reading article after article and book after book about the xhtml and xml in general, it's something I wish to support as best I can and it's something I think all others should also strive to support.

IE 7 is less than a year away so it's about time! :wink:
