Are you a gamer?
Moderator: General Moderators
A long time ago I played blizzard games fanatically: Warcraft II, Starcraft, Diablo I & II. Then, I got into first person shooters. Specifically, I played the original Tribes & Doom. Shortly after I started playing Counter-Strike (1.4,1.5,1.6,cz, and cs:s) and continued to play for at least three years. Now, I play tag.
Recently I have been playing live for speed but generally I don't do a lot of gaming.

yeah i hate RPG too, saying that, i used to play diablo years back.
the old skool games were best, super mario world, and the amiga games, i recently got directed to a decent amiga emulator and a great rom site for it and i cant stop playing some of the retro games, theyre awesome.
off the previous topic of pc gaming, i used to be a massive console fan, some of my faves were metal gear solid, devil may cry (1+2), silent hill, resi evil series, all the mario and sonic ones.
after i got bored of ps2 i started pc gaming and never looked back, i only really play fps on pc aswell.

Jay, if you've played Devil May Cry 1 & 2, you have to play Devil May Cry 3rd for my sake
you would be stunned by its exquisite stunts, superfast gameplay and first-time absolutely rocker-cool styles system
man, what a GAME
play it, you'd be thinking hard why didn't you do it before
I'd bet 50K to 1 if there is any better stylish cum stunts game than this

and yeah! old skool ones were really neat
My best of all times on 8-bit were Contra Force, Super Contra, Chip & Dale, Master Fighter a.k.a Street Fighter (have ya seen that movie
) and in Sega, none other than Ultimate Mortal Kombat which started it all, with all its Brutalities, Fatalities, Animalities and other thing, guess what I even play it now sometimes
other on Sega list being Wrestlemania, Pool, Ninja Turtles, Rolo rescue, Juju Legend and few others...

hhmm, i think i sold my ps2 just before dmc3 came out, when ps3 comes out, ill buy a ps2 and dmc3 for you/me
yeah, i had all those games, mortal kombat is one of the best games ever, and street fighter too.
ive got all the emulators on my home pc. i must have 100 games for each one. the best game of all time though is alex kidd in miracle land, the one built into the master system, its so damn hard i never finished it, but i did it on emulator using save and also looking at a guide for the very last bit. i would be very suprised if anyone finished it on the original system, i still dont know anyone who did - you get 3 lives and the game takes about 3 hours start to finish, the very last bit is total guesswork, its like a puzzle, but its random, and if you do one thing wrong your dead.

You people are all sick, Civilisation rules.
What's everyone's fav old time (pre-PS, Sega Genesis era) game? I remember getting a Sega long time ago (appears I do own a concole afterall - who'd have thought?). After digging around in the ancient bowels of Maugrim's Computing Museam (the garage), I found it beneath a Commodore 64 and its antique tape drive and a box of game cassettes... It looks useable, though my brother had it for a while (I think I only used it a handful of times). Maybe even the Commodore is useable - been a while since I rediscovered the delights of BASIC...
