Weird Explorer Close Error

Post by jayshields »

OK, didn't know who to ask, where to post or anything. So I thought I'd ask you guys.

If I go to http://www.pixel2life.com it will start to load the page, show a couple of graphics, then IE will just close. I thought, hhmm, fault with that page, then I read the weather data thread a couple below this, and I thought I'd look for some UK RSS weather feeds, first result on Google http://www.theweatheroutlook.com/ - clicked it, same thing, loaded a bit of it, then closed IE.

What the hell is happening!?

No I haven't. I'll try it now, but can't imagine it will be spyware. It's happening on other websites aswell now, doing my head in. Gunna scan now.

Thanks for suggestion.

Both pages load fine in Firefox 1.5 RC 3 and IE 6 SP 2, here.

Yeah, I imagine they work for everyone else. Anyway, just done Microsoft Anti-Spyware check and Ad-Aware scan and it still does it :(

Bah, I don't know what to do.

Virus scan your system. If to no avail, reinstall OS. Repeat until successful. :P

read it as "I'd say rather just re-install the browser" ;) I too am big time format fan... But mostly I avoid it because all my confs, opts and other little reg. tweaks go with the wind. I love to tweak the system to my taste... I rename My Computer, My Documents, My Network Places, Computers Near Me, Recycle Bin, in short everything that can be changed is changed on monthly basis :P Wallpapers are a nearly daily routine and i sometimes get short of them. Boot & Logon Screens are really my weakness... I love that WinXP Pirated & WinXP Hacked Off Edition Boot Screens :D Previous Boss got a huge shock on seeing WinXP Pirated edition
