Suggestion Please

Post by phppick »

Hi,

I want to design and maintain Heritage Information(Something that is passed down from preceding generations; a tradition.) for my country as a Website for the public View.

In this i will Create Some Categories and the website will have other links too.
What i need is, for those Categories, i will add some Introduction and details text and i want to upload some files(Flash,Images of any type,Video,Audio, Documents etc etc).

Its almost similar like CMS for country information.

Just want to know, is there any Open Souce Solution is available for this kind of thing?

Please let me know, if anybody have info..

Thanks
Jen

I don't know any public/open cms that is specialised on that. But I am sure there are a lot of genealogy scripts that perhaps forfill the job of a cms too. Search the web, hotscripts.com might be a start.

Also you might test CMS scripts without having to install it yourself at http://opensourcecms.com/ .

I would suggest building it from scratch, as that always gives more control that using a OS solution.
