Books suck
Hmm... How about a book full of puzzles like crosswords and wordsearches... simple but incredibly entertaining :D Maybe I'm just a geek
I like nothing better than to kick back with a glass of warm milk and a puzzle...not Image

1. Get to the airport in plenty of time.
2. Hang around as the queue starts to form to check in.
3. Choose hot girl of choice and stand behind her in queue.
4. Check in and discretely request a seat near the hot girl.

Can't fail ;) 8O

or you can make friends with the person standing next to the hot lady, and speak up a bit while saying that you just inherited X amount of money.. but you need to marry in 72 hours if you want the money.

Sounds familiar... movie perhaps?

for your horrible flight stuff here is what i did when i flew from amsterdam to new york.

-drink heavily the night before, don't sleep.
-drink heavily at the airport waiting for your flight
-make sure you ate very well that night
-sleep like a baby right when the plane takes off

it is important not to fall asleep before the plane takes off because you may be sitting in the plane on the runway for forever waiting for clearance and you want to sleep the whole flight away.

sounds alcoholic and somewhat stupid but it really works.

I've never done a *long* flight neither. 5 hours was my longest and the entertainment was pretty poor, it usually is poor.

A good chunk of flights from UK to Australia land in Singapore on the way I think too (although you're almost there by that time).

entertainment on real long flights is perdy good as far as my expierence goes. every seat had their own mini tv where you could watch popular tv shows, movies (there was quite a large, and good, selection, atleast 75 movies total about 50 of which where worth watching), play games with your remote control thingy, and more that i did not have time to explore. They feed you like every other hour some perdy decent food and drinks. i flew KLM which was the absolute cheapest so i would imagine everything else would provide the same kinda entertainment.

still the best way to take a long flight is sleeping.
