horrible temp

Post by shiznatix »

wow talk about cold (this is all about in C). you all heard about russia getting horrible cold but the baltic states are getting just as bad. i woke up to -25 outside this morning and almost died on the way to work on the bus. -35C min each night. the national weather temp always says whatever but different parts of the city are different temps (i live right next to a lake so the wind is a MAJOR factor). whats the temp in your area? god i hope it is not as bad as it is here now...

yeah-- saw on the news. living in the city known for it's pizza, hot dogs, mobsters and the 2005 WS champs, which happen to be my favorite team, the weather isn't too great here. But worlds better than where you're at. It's about 0 Celsius, 1/2 rain, 1/2 snow, and very very windy. On the news here tonight, they said it's been 20 years or so to the day the last time it's been that cold (-32 C) here.

wow estonia on cnn? that never happens! but...
temperatures plunged to minus 1
plunged? common, -1F is not bad compared to the -31F that it has been in the past few days. i sure hope that the homless in russia and the baltics heads to saftey because you cant live for more that a hour even with the warmest clothing in the land (which they definatly do not have).

but i still have 1 question:

WHERE IS THE &^%##$%^ SNOW!? its negative a billion outside but yet no snow? please. any snow in the rest of europe? the weather reports are always fake and i want some snow.

Although -35 is cold...

You have it easy :P

Try living in Winnipeg...

A few years back we had a cold snap where tempetures reached something like -52 C

That was cold...atleast the coldest in recorded history (In Winnipeg anyways)

I guess it helps that Winnipeg holds the title for the second coldest "city" on the planet...I believe is some other city russia which topped the charts :)

Savage thing is...in Winter we get blasted by cold streaks - although this year has been mild reaching I think like at most -20 w/ wind chill about -30...

And in summer we often get nailed by heat waves which reach 40+ which is god damn hot in a city where many houses don't have A/C because we live under a blanket of snow 7 months of the year :P

p.s- I feel you pain dude...I feel you pain :)

Cheers :)

I wish we had -35C . We've been piddling around -10 all season and I can still see the grass. Bring on the winter!!
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.

I wish it would hit around zero more often. It barely scratched 10ish one day, that's about the lowest we've gotten all winter. And where is my snow? I ordered it like a month ago :p

You've not been waiting for your snow as long as I've been waiting for my X360, then :(
