Is it April already?
Glutamate Grape – Why drink plain grape juice when you can stimulate your ionotropic and metabotropic receptors and groove to a sugar high? Enhancing your learning and memory functions never sounded sweeter. (Note: excessive amounts of glutamate can cause neuronal damage, so drink responsibly.)
That's my kind of drink may cause brain damage.

I did think that might have been 2005s April joke. Think I saw it around that time...

I enjoyed this part of their FAQ however:
11. When will you take Google Gulp out of beta?

Man, if you pressure us, you just drive us away. We'll commit when we're ready, okay? Besides, what's so great about taking things out of beta? It ruins all the romance, the challenge, the possibilities, the right to explore. Carpe diem, ya know? Maybe we're jaded, but we've seen all these other companies leap headlong into 1.0, thinking their product is exactly what they've been dreaming of all their lives, that everything is perfect and hunky-dory – and the next thing you know some vanilla copycat release from Redmond is kicking their butt, the Board is holding emergency meetings and the CEO is on CNBC blathering sweatily about "a new direction" and "getting back to basics." No thanks, man. We like our freedom.

what has google done that wasnt great?
Flooding intenet with viral marketing campaigns? Purposefully brainwashing people? Bashing competitors mercilessly? Being horribly standard incompatible?

Oh, that was a rhetoric quetion... Never mind than. Let's all be positive. Image - See how positive I am?

Well, let's address those points one by one.

Marketing: What's the problem with "viral marketing"? Unless you meant something else, advertising that spreads quickly is good advertising.

Brainwashing: Example? Every "brainwashing" situation I've seen has been with facts and services that they provide. "Oh no! They keep trying to convince everyone that they have one of the best free web mail services ever!!".. oh wait. ;)

Bashing: Half the reason I love Google is because they have a sense of humor, and when they are serious, they usually have decent points to back their argument up.

I'll agree that their code could be a little more complient, but horribly incompatible?
