I happend to find a physical store that had one in stock on December 18th.. mwahahahahah..
nickmap013 wrote:thats pretty cool that you were a game developer, did you take part in the development of a game on the market?

i used to play Team Fortress Classic, yeah CS replaced it. But I loved it, i play it once in a blue moon. I used to have my own server and stuff, that is pretty much how I got into making websites.
I've worked on several titles, all of which were for a children's game company, so the list is kinda.. boring and silly, but: Power Rangers Time Force (PC), Rugrats Munchinland (PC), Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone .. uncredited (PC), Finding Nemo .. various, mostly engine work (PC/Mac), and Finding Nemo: Nemo's Underwater World of Fun .. Tribal Music and Shell Game (PC/Mac).
nickman013 wrote:Also for for the keyboard, cant you get a internal BlueTooth card, and then just get a Bluetooth Keyboard?
The reason I wouldn't want to get a Bluetooth card is:
  1. No slots available
  2. Thumbstick is more portable, and more importantly hot-pluggable
  3. All the keyboards I've seen come with a receiver anyways

The cord literally is a cord aswell, so is more flexible than a conventional wire which makes a big difference.

On an IceMat and you are laughing :)

But then, I'm a very picky gamer.. still using a 7 year old keyboard because I can't find one with the right feel to it, though I'll be trying out the G15 soon..
You seen the new Logitech Fatal1ty 1010 mouse? What a load of rubbish. There's a review here.

Personally I think all this special gaming hardware is crap. I like to think I can beat anyone at a few FPS' () and I use old skool stuff. I tried a Razer mouse once, don't remember the name, but it looked like the bat mobile, it was £50! I packaged it back up and got my refund within a couple of days...!

Yeah, the 'hardcore gaming' stuff is a laugh, I had a Razer Boomslang (probably the one you are thinking of :P) which I won in a turnament, along with other useless gubbins, it was a good mouse but I didn't find it comfortable.. gave me wrist ache after only a short time (I prefer my hand to rest at a slightangle, not paralell to table) but the sensitivity was fantastic. So much smoother, especially for small adjustments. Funnily enough this can also be better for your eyes - particularly FPS's where the mouse guides your view. If your mouse is low DPi, when you look around it will have a similar effect to low FPS/FR and can induce headaches. This isn't an issue anymore as all "non-came-in-the-box-with-the-pc" mice are usually atleast 1400DPi anyway, where as the Boomslang was 2000DPi in the days where 800DPi was considered high.

However, having said all gaming stuff is crap, the G5 is fantastic ONLY because you can adjust the centre of gravity with the weight cartridge, which at first was really surprising how much of a difference that makes to comfort :) My only gripe is the wheelbutton is a little too stiff and the tip of my finger felt quite bruised after a few hours of constant use (comm's)
