A good CSS Book

Post by Luke »

I was looking into buying HTML Utopia: Design without tables using CSS because the name of the book describes EXACTLY what I'd like to learn to do, but after reading reviews on Amazon, it seems like a hunk of crap. Does anybody know of a really good book for somebody who is used to table design, but wants to move on to CSS? Thanks in advance!

Well it's not exactly a book, but: http://www.visibone.com/products/browserbook.html

It's a very interesting, professional, efficient AND nice looking product.
Contain's quick reference for CSS, all web-compliant colors (hex codes), JS, HTML, XHTML, fonts and HTML entities, DOM, and even RegExps.

I thought this was a great book:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/076455 ... s&v=glance

This was what I started with... good first php book, but horrible at introducting Databases:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/067232 ... e&n=283155

I would buy the php & Mysql bible book if i were you... it was excellent.

For online stuff w3schools is what I use most for reference. As for books I have to 100% agree with feyd... the CSS books I've seen by O'Reilly's are excellent.
