In that case, I made a mistake interpreting your posts.
we were talking about them because that is the type of mp3 player I was considering.
May I ask what other brands were you considering and why did you chose iPod?

Fitting a second battery is pretty simple. Just make sure you put a circuit breaker between the two batteries.

Just pretend your in a big machine that takes a while to warm up. Like a space ship or 747 or something. Get some leather seats and program the car computer to play some sounds that say things like, initializing spark plugs, initializing heated leather seat system, checking air intake temperature, initializing climate control, initializing audio center, main amplifier power has been successfully started, etc, etc.

Then you won't have to worry so much about the computer booting.
