What happened to the 'LIFE' project?

well it was at http://life-project.org/forums/ but I got a 403 when I try that url, maybe grim or pilau can answer your question?

That would be me fiddling with permissions on the server :oops: Fixed it. To be honest I think this is long dead but if anyone does want to pick it up go for it :)

its exactly the sort of project i would love to work on at the moment, however i feel that the amount of work required and complexity of the project would only end up frustrating me

Everyone tried to run before they walked, talking about the (rather complicated) things that should be happening, rather than trying to make, say, a patch of earth with a blade of grass.

The last I knew Pilau was going to write some sample code.

It wasn't really kept up with unfortunately. But that's the way with most OS projects, propose, get followers, see if something clicks (or not). In this case it was a not...at the moment.
