I had suspected that it was AJAX...
I have been reading about it.

I just wanted to know for certain.
But thanks for pointing out the source code obviousness.

It's not necessarily AJAX, but Javascript has received a serious boost in the last year or so due to the, quite justified, AJAX hype. It could simply be some very clever Javascript. Would have to look at the source code in detail to find out.
