make money from putting pay per click ads ?

Hey,


Is it really possible to make money from putting pay per click ads on a website?

the website i refering to is for charitable foundation(for children)...
and i was wandering if ppc could bring additional money... :?

A friend of mine started http://www.dvdactive.com/ a few years ago. He now lives off the ad revenue .. doesn't have a proper job .. it's around $40,000/year I think.

Google Ads, is very good. I use them. If you have alot of page impressions (page hits), then your click money goes up.

It does work, maybe not to the extent you might think, but it does make extra cash which is useful for covering off on maintaining a website hosting account. I found Google Ads to be the most effective and least intrusive.

I find yahoo ads pay more than google... although their CPC is going down
Set Search Time - A google chrome extension. When you search only results from the past year (or set time period) are displayed. Helps tremendously when using new technologies to avoid outdated results.
