BTW, this is NOT a Firefox only script as the poster indicated. :) It can work on Opera as well. :)

I didn't indicate it was firefox only.

I did indicate that Firefox users could use it.

What Google does not do well is apply design appropriately to its search engine interface.
http://andyrutledge.com/google-redux.php 2nd Paragraph first sentence.

That comment is one of many in that article which in my mind is subjective. Google works fine for me. I don't need a toy to dress it up. Flame away

Keep in mind it only works on Google.com - not the internationalised address like Google.ie.

I hate it when you try to access a .com address and they force a redirect... PHP does the same thing and its irritating, if I wanting to visit the .ie version I would have typed that into the location field...;)

If you are of that opinion, its not for you. For many others, who share the opinion that Google could use substantial improvements in design, its quite a nice improvement.

Just saying its subjective doesn't make it less true. Everyone's opinion is subjective. The comments and opinions in the article were backed up with reasoning, which I note you didn't refute.

Further, its not a 'toy' to dress it up. Its a replacement interface for google that is more usable, and more accessible.

But as I said, if you don't think there is a need to improve, it wasn't meant for you. No one is forcing you to install it!
