Weird IE behavior - all pixelated and poor quality

Post by Luke »

Does anybody know what could be causing Internet explorer to display sites way too large (looks like 800x600 when my system is set at 1400x1050) and the images are all pixelated and ugly. Here is an example:

I can't figure it out and it's driving me nuts.

My girlfriend had a similiar problem in the Win9x days. She said it was easy to fix but she doesn't remember how. :(

Perhaps silly of me to suggest, have you tried updating or reinstalling IE?

Perhaps you could try

Internet Options -> Advanced ->Restore Defaults

Reboot and see what happens...

If it's only your images, sounds like something you may have installed like BMO or something by accident...Spyware perhaps?

But I would try the restore defaults, incase it's in your registry...

Then if all else fails, re-install :)

Save the image to hard drive...check what it's saving as and open in image viewer...

Do they look correct in other programs???
